Class 1 Shunters required for immediate starts in Northampton.Shift - 4 Days on 4 days off. 1800pm - 0600amKey Responsibilities:
  • Operate Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner within the premises.
  • There may also be some on road duties required.
  • Maneuver vehicles into loading and unloading bays according to schedules.
  • Perform pre-operational checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate movement of goods.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Assist with general yard duties and maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
  • Previous experience as a shunter or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
